About
OneTorch:
OneTorch was launched in direct response to founder Pamela Jolly’s experiences as a contractor with FEMA after Hurricane Katrina. The organization, created in 2006 has focused on assisting residents and businesses in underserved communities return home and rebuild New Orleans with ownership and equity. In 2010, given the similarities of the impact of nation-wide economic downturn the organization expanded its efforts to work with various communities and faith-based organizations in pursuit of understanding and overcoming financial oppression.
Our Mission:
Rebuild communities via collective ownership and equity. OneTorch leverages community development rebuilding strategies to facilitate the improvement of economic conditions through mitigating financial oppression in underserved communities.
